Auto locksmith
Car keys, done where the car is
Keys, remotes, lockouts and ignitions for cars, utes, vans and light trucks, from a van carrying the cutting and programming equipment, which comes to the car. Key work done in your driveway or the car park you are standing in, not in a workshop.

What the van carries
Key blanks and remotes for the common makes, the machines to cut them, and the equipment to program them to the car. That is why many jobs finish in one visit rather than with a part on order.
The makes we work on are listed on the car keys page, each with its own page. If yours is not there, ask anyway — it is often still done.
The jobs
New keys when every key is lost. Spares copied from the key you have. Remotes reprogrammed or replaced. Lockouts. Ignitions that will not turn, and keys the car has stopped recognising.
If a key has snapped in the lock or the ignition
Leave the broken piece where it is. Pliers, tweezers and superglue can push the piece further in or damage the lock, and then the lock may need replacing.
Do not keep turning what is left of the key. Keep the other half and show it to us.

Common questions
Do you do vans and trucks as well as cars?
Yes — utes, vans and light trucks as well as cars. Tell us the make, model and year and we confirm before anyone comes.
How does it compare with going to the dealer?
We do not quote the dealer’s prices for them. What is different is that the work is done at the car, so there is usually no tow and no wait for an appointment. Ask for a price here and put it beside the dealer’s quote.

Answer what you can — anything you are unsure of, leave it. Your locksmith reads it and comes back with a price, usually within the hour during business hours.
Stuck right now? Ring — it is faster than any form. If it can wait, the form below gets you an exact figure.
Priced by the job, not by the hour — the figure you approve is the figure you pay for the job as described.*
*If your locksmith arrives and the job turns out genuinely different from what you told us — a different lock, extra doors, damage nobody mentioned — you get a plain explanation and a new figure before any work starts, and you can say no. Anything you haven’t agreed to is never charged.
